Welcome guests, and visitors to our site! We are the Olympia Music Teachers Association (OMTA), a local affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Washington State Music Teachers Association (WSMTA). We are an active and welcoming group of private music teachers. We have many programs, activities, and educational events throughout the year. Guests are always welcome. Hello Teachers!
I would like to invite you to the Pacific Northwest Taubman Approach Piano Workshop.Taubman Approach uses natural, efficient movements of the body at the piano. It helps pianists overcome technical limitations, recover from playing-related injuries, and just play with ease and freedom.
The workshop will include lecture-presentations about the technique, masterclasses, technique and pedagogy clinics. The workshop also includes an evening concert by the presenters.
You are welcome to include your students. All students participating in masterclasses receive free access to the workshop.

If you would like to take a private lesson with any of the presenters, lessons will be scheduled for Sunday, September 27. We are also looking for 2 volunteers who can open their home on Sunday for 4 hours to host lessons. Volunteers will receive free access to the full workshop as a thank-you!
